General Information
Ambrose University College is the official institution of The Christian & Missionary Alliance in Canada and the Church of the Nazarene Canada. Ambrose seeks to glorify God through the equipping of men and women for service in the church and society. This vision is fulfilled through:
Message from the Presidents For the past four years Alliance University College and Nazarene University College have worked in partnership to deliver programs under the name AUC–NUC. In April 2007, AUC and NUC legally joined together to become one university college with one governing board and one budget under the name Ambrose University College. Ambrose (including Ambrose Seminary) will continue the strong Alliance and Nazarene traditions of training men and women for professional ministry and also offers a growing array of arts and science programs that prepare our young people to serve Christ in a variety of careers including creative missionary work in closed access countries. The formation of Ambrose brings together the proud educational histories of both sponsoring denominations and provides the opportunity to create an influential institution that will serve the Church of the Nazarene and The Christian & Missionary Alliance and the wider Christian community in Canada. Ambrose is presently engaged in a visionary project to build a new campus in west Calgary. Sod was turned for this project in April and construction began in mid-May. It is anticipated that the new Ambrose campus will be fully operational for September 2008. Please pray that God's hand of blessing will be upon Ambrose University College. Sincerely, George Durance and Riley Coulter Co-Presidents

CSX Along the Magnolia Cutoff Part 1
CSX Along the Magnolia Cutoff Part 1
During my January Term break from Messiah College, fellow videographer James Benetzky and I took a trip down to the CSX Cumberland Sub, focusing mostly on the Magnolia Cutoff. This line is currently undergoing major modernizations due to CSX's National Gateway Project, with new signals and tunnel improvements being done. Work is said to be completed in the Fall of 2012 with a signal cutover happening in a few weeks. This video focuses on two main locations along the cutoff: Ambrose and Grasshopper, with a few stops in Hancock. Trains vary from manifests to coal with power from pretty much everything CSX owns. Look for Part 2 coming soon! Enjoy, subscribe and thanks for watching!

When Baseball Went to War and No Greater Love
Todd Anton has been a US History instructor for over 20 years, and his ability to work closely with his students and World War II veterans has earned him national recognition - for an extensive oral history collection (nearly 5000) involving combat veterans from WWI through the present. Equally important is the annual veteran's dinner hosted by Anton and his students over the last 22 years. This dinner is a way to connect generations together and remind all in attendance "freedom is not free." Thus far, Anton's students have honored nearly 19000 veterans over the years and raised over $30000 for veterans programs and recognition. As a result of his nomination as VFW "Teacher of the Year", legendary author/historian Dr. Stephen E. Ambrose took Todd under his wing and encouraged him to achieve even more. Anton serves on the board of Trustees for the late Dr. Ambrose's National World War II Museum, and the museum has featured Todd as a speaker at a gala function in Washington DC honoring the members of Congress who served in World War II and at the premiere of Steven Spielberg's documentary on his father, Arnold Spielberg's squadron in WW II, called the Burma Bridge Busters, at Fox Studios in Los Angeles. Anton also serves as the Divisional Historian for his late father's World War II unit, the 70th Infantry Division-Trailblazers, and has written a history of the division's artillery units called Distant Thunder: The Field Artillery units of the 70th Infantry Division in ...
